What is AmeCon?
AmeCon is the UK's largest residential convention dedicated to the celebration of Japanese Animation and Comics, and the community that these media bring together. We try to be a little bit country, and a little bit rock'n'roll - well, maybe a lot rock'n'roll, but that's beside the point.
The weekend-long timetable is chock-full of attendee-run events providing new insights, or alternative viewpoints, on a variety of related subjects. Either way, they are a great way to meet likeminded people who love the same things you do.
Our infamous nightly parties provide ample opportunity to kick back and get your groove on with friends, old and new. Folks coming to AmeCon might only see each other once or twice a year, so we do everything we can to make it a weekend to remember!
Above all else, AmeCon is an event that is run by fans, for fans, and would be nothing without the fans. Every penny AmeCon receives goes into making the event that bit more special for the hundreds of attendees who return year on year. Cosplay Ball

The Cosplay Ball returns, what better way to see Amecon off than by dressing up and stepping on your friends toes! With Ball music, amv’s, guest singers and much more to boot it’s going to be a blast.
The Ball is a formal event so you have to dress up to get in. Ball gowns and evening dresses for the girls and Shirt,tie, trousers and Jacket for the guys. Alternatively come in smart Cosplay, a Guide to Formal Wear for the Discerning Cosplay Ball-Goer will be available soon. If you've no clue what to wear, then pay it a little visit and see what ideas come up.
Just remember dress smart and respectably.
The Cosplay Ball will run on Sunday night, then later on the doors will be thrown open and everyone invited to get down at the End Of Amecon Party!
