What is AmeCon?
AmeCon is the UK's largest residential convention dedicated to the celebration of Japanese Animation and Comics, and the community that these media bring together. We try to be a little bit country, and a little bit rock'n'roll - well, maybe a lot rock'n'roll, but that's beside the point.
The weekend-long timetable is chock-full of attendee-run events providing new insights, or alternative viewpoints, on a variety of related subjects. Either way, they are a great way to meet likeminded people who love the same things you do.
Our infamous nightly parties provide ample opportunity to kick back and get your groove on with friends, old and new. Folks coming to AmeCon might only see each other once or twice a year, so we do everything we can to make it a weekend to remember!
Above all else, AmeCon is an event that is run by fans, for fans, and would be nothing without the fans. Every penny AmeCon receives goes into making the event that bit more special for the hundreds of attendees who return year on year. Events and Gopher Submission Forms Online

If you're interested in running an event, please visit the main website and click on Events under the Apply section of the menu. From there, fill in details of the event you're interested in running and any requirements necessary for it to run. Your submission will be reviewed by our events organiser, who will reply with his decision.
If you're more interested in helping the convention, but not on the scale of running your own event, then gophering might be for you. As a gopher you'll be asked to help the committee and events by performing certain task. All gophers are rewarded for their support, so if you're interested, visit the main website and click on Gophers under the Apply section of the menu. After completing the form, make sure to read the Terms and Conditions before submitting it. Your submission will be reviewed by our operations officers, who will reply with their decision.
Please note that you must be a paid member of AmeCon to be either an events organiser or gopher. Anyone not registered and paid for AmeCon 2010 will be immediately rejected.
